Bruxo Mezcal is a range of artisan Mexican mezcals made using specific proportions of varietals of agave in their production. Each Bruxo expression is made by a different Master Mezcalero in a different community in Mexico.
Each Master has his own technique and several types of agaves are used, including wild agave, but they all use the conical pit. type oven, copper stills, and (often) two. distillations. Brujo is synonymous with shaman, wise, illuminated; and the “X” in Bruxo then refers to the pronunciation of their origin lands, Oaxaca and México.
